How important are the environmental practices of Aveda to you?

Aveda is known not just for great smelling products but also for their environment-friendly practices. I’m going to go ahead and admit that this wasn’t a factor in deciding I loved Aveda products but I do love a company with a conscience.
Not only does Aveda do things for the environment such as use responsible packaging, use 100% wind energy for their manufacturing and raise millions for environmental causes but they do non-environmental good things as well. Their contributions to breast cancer include donations of over $1 million.
How much does Aveda’s environment-friendly practices factor into your use of Aveda? I know it’s a huge factor for some so I’m curious to hear from you.
