1. First, cleanse and condition with your favorite Aveda shampoo and conditioner, such as Color Conserve shampoo and conditioner, if you have colored-treated hair.
2. Prep hair by spraying Brilliant Damage Control to help protect from thermal damage and reduce breakage.
3. Evenly distribute Phomollient Styling Foam through hair for weightless volume and light hold.
4. Set blow-dryer to high heat and high speed and blow-dry using a nozzle attachment until hair is about 60% dry.
5. Section hair into 4 sections—back, top and sides—then blow-dry at the roots using Antoinette Beenders’ Flat-Wrap Technique. First, brush hair tightly against the scalp toward the right while blow-drying at the roots. Then, go back and dry roots in the opposite direction.
6. Roll hair around a round brush and pull from roots-to-ends as you blow-dry to create volume on the back and sides of the head
7. Add maximum volume to the crown of the head by rotating hair tightly around the brush and blow-drying from above. Work your way forward, rolling the hair and drying until you reach the top of the head.
8. Move to the front hairline and use the flat-wrap technique on the roots, then roll the hair around the brush and pull from roots-to-ends while blow-drying. Continue rolling and drying sections of hair as you move back toward the top of the head.
9. When hair is all dry, brush through it and manipulate into desired style with your fingers.
10. Finish hair with Pure Abundance Volumizing Hair Spray to fight humidity and provide great hold.
